We remember it like it was yesterday — the scenes from that legendary video of Japanese big game fisherman Kozo Okubo catching massive GTs off Komodo Island, Indonesia.

Enormous GTs, taken on a lure worthy of respect — one not made for just anyone.

Since that “yesterday,” nearly 20 years ago, we’ve been dreaming of the iconic Japanese lures from Hammerhead. A dream born from our endless passion for fishing, and one that recently became a professional reality we are proud to preserve. Yes, dear fellow anglers, Hammerhead has officially arrived in Brazil — through the front door and in great style.

We are incredibly happy — and proud — to have transformed a dream that began with a VHS tape into a professional partnership with a brand held in high regard not only by legendary Japanese fishermen but by anglers all over the world.

The fishing world knows we speak from real experience when it comes to this iconic brand.

Preserving its handmade production essence, we carefully inspected each lure from our first imports and confirmed what we already suspected: over the years, the quality and craftsmanship of Hammerhead lures has only improved. Their attention to detail is unmatched. There’s not a single flaw that escapes their quality control. These lures are true works of art.

And when it comes to performance in the field — in those most awaited fishing moments — Hammerhead stands among the most effective brands for targeting big fish on the surface.

We also noticed how the brand has evolved in terms of lure sizes. Going back to the story of how we discovered the Hammerhead name nearly two decades ago, the lure featured in that unforgettable video was the I CUP — a large-mouth popper weighing approximately 230 grams. A true cannonball, designed to draw massive GTs to the surface — but it was no easy task to fish that lure for 6 or 7 days straight.

That particular model is no longer in production, but its legacy lives on in the G CUP — same lines and design as the I CUP, but with a much more manageable weight of 180–190 grams. That’s what we call evolution and refinement, perfectly aligned with the real needs of anglers worldwide.

When it comes to large poppers, our thirst was already quenched with the first imports — but Hammerhead didn’t stop there. Today, the brand offers a wide range of smaller models, suitable for every kind of saltwater topwater fishing, developed to cover an enormous variety of species.

And very soon, we’ll be bringing you an even broader selection of Hammerhead’s newest releases, from a brand that has been crafting quality for decades.
